Senior Fellow: Wolfgang Bretschneider

Wolfgang conducts research and consulting in the field of economics of civil security. He is senior fellow at Tutwa Europe, founder of CiviS\Econ – Economic Analysis of Civil Security, and member of the Schumpeter Center for Research on Socio-Economic Change at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena (JSEC).

He also has in-depth expertise in the field of environmental economics and policy. His professional experience includes a position at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) and multiple collaborations with the Brandenburg Institute for Society and Security (BIGS). His teaching experience includes economic policy, public finance, microeconomics, and economic methodology.

Wolfgang received his Ph.D. (economics) from Leipzig University. He holds two diplomas, one in economics (Leipzig University), and one in jazz bass (HMT Leipzig). He has published in a number of academic, including especially legal, journals.
