Senior Fellow: Stephen Woolcock

Stephen Woolcock is an Associate Professor in the International Relations Department of the London School of Economics. Woolcock has taught international political economy, trade and economic diplomacy at the LSE since 1999. Before joining the LSE he worked on trade and EU policy at Chatham House and for the private sector.


At the LSE he teaches international political economy, international trade and investment and economic diplomacy as well as contributing to the work of the LSE International Trade Policy Unit. He has served as a consultant to the European Parliament, European Commission, OECD, Commonwealth Secretariat, the UK and other governments. 



Woolcock's research interests range across most trade and investment issues, in recent years he has focused on the content and impact of preferential trade agreements and more recently developments in the international trading system and WTO.
