Senior Fellow: Matthias Lücke
Dr. Matthias Lücke is a Senior Fellow at Tutwa Europe. Previously, he was a senior economist at the International Monetary Fund and a senior researcher at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. His expertise covers international trade, capital flows, migration, and development policies at both national and international levels.
Dr. Lücke is affiliated with several think tanks and remains an adjunct professor of economics at Kiel University, where he co-teaches a course on European economic integration. Beyond academia, Dr. Lücke has contributed extensively to policy-oriented research and consultancy, working with EU and international institutions as well as national organizations. He has also authored numerous academic and policy publications.
He studied economics at the University of Cologne and the London School of Economics, supported by scholarships from the German National Scholarship Foundation and the German Academic Exchange Service. His doctorate is from Gießen University.
